I went to Jessica. This was my first time at this salon, I heard great reviews so I went. I had grown out balayage, 1 year of my natural dark brown growth ombred to my ashy blonde that turned yellowish over time, I was overdue for a service and I came in for my appointment. I wanted to go dark. I wanted dark mocha chocolate /almost black base with lighter brown balayage for contrast. Jessica wasn't very confident at consultation since she told me the wish pictures I showed her only look that dimensional because of extensions, I told her its fuller because of extensions but the color is what I want. I wanted the contrast between the almost black and the brown for a rich brunette balayage with dimension. She seemed hesitant, and durring my service kept asking for advice from another stylists on formulation. She balayaged at the same time as laying the dark base color and when she washed it all out it looked dull and greenish light brown since she didn't fill my blonde color prior. You can't just go from blonde to dark brown without filling the hair with red/warm pigment first since you have to add all the missing pigment in for a richer deep color. So she kept adding different glazes after the balayage service at the bowl to my allover hair loosing all of the dimensional balayage work in the process and I ended up with an allover redish medium brown. Seriously, she glazed my hair 4 times and checked the color every time. It went from greenish to redish to redish brown. I told her I did not ask for redish medium brown allover flat hair. So then she added in some black/brown lowlights after. At the end I left with basic hair, lost all that balayage work she did, and it all blends with very little dimension. It's basic dark brown now. I paid over $500 for mediocre hair. I tried to love it, but it's just so boring. Also I thought this salons practice of making you sign a liability waver prior to lighting service is rediculous. I have gone to several of the top salons in the city and this was never done. They have good social media, but their stylists can't back it up. Its nothing but good advertising in this salon. I waited a month to write a review since I don't do this often. I feel awful writing a negative review, but I feel people need to know. This is a pricey salon and you should get what you paid for, sadly I did not. One more thing about their customer service, I was there for 7 hours, no one offered me anything to drink, it was rediculous. I had to ask for some water at one point. Other salons offer coffee, tea, or wine knowing clients are there for hours. I would have given only one star, but I gave 2 stars because I think my service would have been better with Trish or Brittany who are more seasoned and skilled based on what I heard. However, they should not employ hair colorists that don't have their level of skill because there really isn't difference in pricing, yet you're getting a stylist that doesn't really know what they're doing. If you go to a reputable salon, you should get excellent service no matter the stylist. Also my hair is livable. It looks like I was born with it, just regular dark brown, so it's not a complete failure, it's just not what I asked for, and certainly not worth $500+.

Got a bob haircut here that had to get corrected by another salon. I think my stylist was tired or overworked and just lost sight of paying attention to detail, which is important with a blunt bob. She was super sweet though.

I found my way into Trish's chair after a mutual friend and former client of hers (before moving to LA) let me know that Trish was seeking a male hair model to set new trends for men - balayage! I always had dark hair and had considered going blonde during the pandemic, so jumped at the opportunity to work with her and trusted her to do her thing based on the person who referred me. I assumed that I wouldn't have much say in the vision, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Her and salon owner Brittany gave me the royal treatment and were extremely patient and thorough with explaining their vision and our options. Trish began by giving me an impromptu trim that was one of the best cuts I've had in years. After that, we began the coloring process, which took ~5 hours all-in. They even deviated form their original plan after getting to know me throughout the day and getting a feel for what my ultimate hair goals were. We pivoted from subtle, lived-in pops of color to a noticeable, but natural bronde. It took me a bit to adjust to the new me in the mirror, but once I did, I could not have been happier with the results. I immediately booked my maintenance appointment on the spot. 7 weeks later, I linked up again with Trish for a Keratin treatment (Lasio Tropic), which completely hydrated my hair and removed frizz. My hair has never air-dried so soft and natural before. The treatment also brought new life and brightness to the golden / cream / blonde in my hair. Trish is extremely accessible (via IG DM) and knowledgeable about her craft. I've since expressed my future hair goals with her and sent her countless inspo pics. She was responsive, open and honest about what would look best and most natural on me, but was still open to and supportive in going for something more dramatic and outlined the realistic steps without rushing in achieving those goals while maintaining the health and integrity of the hair. I highly recommend both Trish and the entire Palms salon to anyone looking for luxury blonding and bronding services. PS - you know you're in the right place when every client is a total babe.

My friend referred me to Marie from our Mommy group. She was previously seeing her at IGK in soho. Having long over do pandemic hair. I booked with her at the palms. I was beyond happy and loved the vibe in the salon. Everyone was in good spirits. Marie kept it real and gave me achievable highlights. Meaning something I could actually stick too. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.

I came here for a haircut and dry on New Years Eve. I made me appointment a week before and received a confirmation email. I requested Ariel (bc the person on the phone said he was good at cutting bobs) and on my confirmation email it said his name. When I got to the salon Ariel said he cannot cut my hair bc he has someone else scheduled at this time. So they double book clients (other reviews state this as well). The problem for me was not only do they double book but how rude and unprofessional he was. He was dismissive and said "Idk why the confirmation email says you're booked with me but I have someone else coming." There was no apology for their mess up, instead he took a rude tone, walked over to another stylist, started whispering, giggling with them and refused to acknowledge that they had double booked. I was shocked at how unprofessional and impudent he was. I hope the owners realize that they are losing clients bc of managers like Ariel who is incapable of being professional and bc the salon is double booking.
